Contrasting sleeve plackets.

Cut a contrast piece of fabric approximately 18cm x 4cm ( 7" x 1 ½") and place on the short (back) of the sleeve, aligning with the placket line. Stitch 1cm from the line, 1 cm from the top of the piece. Place a piece of the main colour, cut to 20cm x6cm (8" x 2 1/2" ) next to the contrast piece. Stitch the same as the other piece, stitch across the top, joining the two seams. Cut through the sleeve along the line, cutting to the corners at the top. Press a small (5mm) seam on the outside edge of both pieces. Edge stitch the contrast piece in place. Fold the upper placket over the lower, press. Press the top to a point or square, depending on preference. Use fabric glue stick if the point won’t sit properly...
